Hummmm.... I can't tell if the photographer was aiming at the German V-1 "Buzz Bomb" or the SR-71.
Paul, i was shooting to capture the entire scene, including the DC-3. It was either this, or something was getting cut off and to me it did t look right like that.
Where is this museum?
Ken, it is the Museum of Flight Museum located at Boeing Field (KBFI) south of downtown Seattle. It's a great museum. It is split up in several parts. There is an area across the street they call the Pavillion which has the 747, 727, 737 prototypes, the third 787 prototype, a DC-2, B-17, B-27, F-14 and other fighters, a Concorde G-BOAG, BOEING 247, A Former Air Force 1 (707) B-52 out back of the Pavillion. Recommend going on a nice day however. The Pavillion does not have any walls, so the cold air and rain will blow inside as I found out on my recent visit.
Flight Aware will give the aircraft the latest registration of record. In this case the M-21 has the same serial number as a Dromander Mini.
Good shot to get a feel for all the great airplanes there. Well worth the visit. They also have a recreation of the pre WWII Boeing factory and set piece areas for WWI & WWII, kids’ areas, recreation of a control tower with runway views etc
John, thanks for sharing with us. Great collection of aircraft. Really stacked in there. Too bad they don't have the room to spread them out more like the museum at Wright-Pat in Dayton.
