According to a NASA log it departed Sydney December 1 and had been there from November 25.

NASA had two C121G Connies, NASA 420 and NASA 421, and on June 25, 1969 both received civil registrations, N420NA and N421NA respectively. They were used in support of NASA Apollo space missions and often visited Australia because of Australia’s involvement in the program.

You used an Instamatic; I was using a Polaroid. And your Instamatic shots held up waaaay better than my Polaroids did.
This is a classic keeper pic, Gavin. Those NASA titles make it tres unique. Congrats and many Thanx for sharing this.

You're welcome Gary. I'm amazed that there weren't already some pics of this on FA which was one reason I uploaded it. I had two Instamatics in succession, and both gave pretty good results considering their very basic design. Keep an eye out in due course for an upload of a TAA B727 taken under lights with my second Instamatic. It was capable of time exposure (how good was Kodak back in the day?), be interested to see what you think.

I'm guessing that not too many people remember the Instamatic, or the Polaroid for that matter. Well done, Gavin!

Thanks Greg, and yeah, old tech, hey.

You're welcome. I saw on a photography website once that the best camera in the world is the one you have with you when you need it. So, an Instamatic could be a great camera! Keep up the great work, Gavin!

Aint that the true -- can't use what you don't have inhand :-)
