This is the 1930's British Gloster Gladiator made by the Gloster Aircraft Company, Ltd, and designed by Henry Phillip Folland. It had it's first flight on 12 September 1934, and was introduced into service on 23 February 1937. Primary users Royal Air Force, Fleet Air Arm, Chinese Nationalist Air Force, Finnish Air Force, Norwegian Army Air Service. # built 747. Developed from Gloster Gauntlet. It was phased out of service by by the early 50's. Great image . . .
