Howdy, Chris.
I'd like to ask your permission to d/l this pic and repost it in our group site. It's a closed site so only group members can view, but if you are willing I promise I will prominently credit you as the photog. (If you do not wish me to repost it, then I do promise not to do so.) I already posted a link to this pic so the members of our group can view it here, but if I repost it I think I can enlarge it -- it would look fabulous on our big screen.
I notice that the FA screener did not give any "Star' vote to this capture -- which simply goes to prove that FA's gallery screeners don't even look at the pics that are submitted. (I mean, how difficult can it BE to get paid to do nothing but sit and look at pictures??) The shot of the tail alone rates this a ***** catch, but with that engine intake vortex also plainly visible in the shot this pic goes from superior to ultra-unique. I'm willing to bet the "screener" never even saw it ... and IF she/he DID see it, had absolutely no clue what it was because ANYone who knows even a little about aviation photography knows that getting one of those engine vortex swirls in a pic is not all that common. (Just look in FA's gallery -- choose any 400 pics posted next to each other -- how many show engine vortexes? Perhaps one, but probably none.) So anyway, this shot of yours is easily worth 10 (or more) "Stars." Congrats and Bravos. And pls let me know if it is OK for me to d/l and put it on our site. Thanx, Chris. gcs

Be my guest. I don't get hung up on all of the photo credit stuff. It's only a photo. Anyone can get any photo on Google nowadays. I never took the Flightaware gallery seriously. There are so many garbage photos on here so it's obvious they accept anything. I have all of my photos on my Flickr page and that's the one that I put the effort into.

TYvm, Chris. Looks excellent on the big screen. There's a person in this area who, on an every 3-to-4 week basis, announces a random category of av photo (for instance: an inclement wx pic or a snowy background pic or a C/T background, etc.), and then awards cash to the photog who submits a pic to FA that fits the category. (There's more to it -- the pic must also achieve specific minimum "Successful Post" criteria that was spelled out when this began). Thus far, I've won every prize (it's modest but they've added up). (The little 'contest' is why I keep posting here and why I post what I do. And yes, I will admit -- it's been easy for me to run up a win streak because I'm the only one with the interest to be a contestant. But I'm OK with that. Lololol)
Anyway, this morning I was told that if you had been living here, this pic would have won and I'd have lost for the first time. So (grin) DON'T move out here (lol) but pls keep sharing pics like this one. TY again for letting me share it in the group. (Thumbs Up)
