Some information would be helpful!

Well, it is obviously a B-17 Flying Fortress. The smoke must be just smoke for an air show because the engine looks like it is running just fine.

"Googling", I saw this link: http://www.airteamimages.com/boeing-b-17-flying-fortress_N7227C_usa---us-army-air-forces_304922.html

I think this information is correct and related to the shown plane.

Have seen several air shows which feature a "damaged engine" to illustrate how tough the fortress was and its ability to sustain damage and keep flying. My guess is that this is what that is.

Commemorative Air Force Gulf Coast Wing’s B-17G, Texas Raiders. First B-17 acquired for preservation as an airworthy Flying Fortress in 1967 to educate, honor and commemorate those that fly the B-17 during WWII. Smoke oil used during an Airshow appearance.
Super Bild!

I would give that plane pic five stars if it was a shot from behind, parked, in a snowstorm. I understand there are bigger, better, faster, and certainly more effective aircraft today. It's just something about this bird. You all have a good evening.

Sorry about the lack of info. I put the basic information into the system when I uploaded the photos, but I guess that doesn't make it to the web page.

Corvus oil injected into the exhaust.
