Convair B-58 Hustler. I'd really like to see just how the nose gear retracts past the huge bomb/fuel pod that sticks forward below the nose gear well.

Totally agree. Also a tribute to Convair that they managed to design and build a four engined, Mach 2 capable delta carrying three crew, all with their essential but also quite heavy crew escape systems, a tail mounted defensive cannon, a complex bogie main landing gear, inflight refuel capability, offensive and defensive systems plus heavy (pre GPS) Nav avionics and still come out with an empty weight of just around 58,000 pounds. That's less than the MTOW of an F4 Phantom. Retired Convair engineers out there take a massive bow!
If we had based these bad boys in the UK, the Soviets would have crapped themselves. Wonder why we never did?
