Bombardier is their own home grown aircraft manufacturer, and they adapted the airplane specs to fit that particular mission - short runway operations and quiet engines. Bombardier's loss is the Toronto waterfront's gain. Even if this jet bankrupts the airplane maker. Gotta love this new Canadian gov't.
