FAA Report: Spirit Airlines is the worst...
A new report released Tuesday by the FAA reveals Spirit Airlines to be the absolute worst carrier in the country. (www.theonion.com) 更多...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Thee are times when there is a no show in any business. I was a pax on a DAL 727 from ATL to LIT one night and we were 30 min late getting out as they had 2 no shows for the same flight, the Captain and FE. Both were stuck in in traffic behind a wreck on 285 up on the North side. It left OPS holing the bag and they had to scramble to cover.
Satire is only funny when there is an element of truth in the content...and Spirit certainly provides lots of that.
Report the last couple of days is that they changed their 800 number to one the caller gets charged. What is next a fee to talk to the gate agent?

Impressively objective - lol.
I agree with wx1996. The airline industry is switching from all-inclusive to al-a-carte - deal with it.

SPIRIT can not be as bad as everyone on this site reports. They are growing and making money. It appears they are giving a large group or travelers what they want, dirt cheap fares. When the average household will change carriers for less than $25 for a family vacation, SPIRIT wins a lot even after a lot of fees - they are still cheaper. People are not willing to pay any extra for service. Typical these days the traveling public assumes it is their right to be treated as if they paid for a First Class ticket while paying less than the cost to drive. Spirit is cheap with no service.
But this article is typical Onion satire - not real facts or news. JBuocree needs to learn about the Onion.

I'm sorry you didn't find any humor in it. Yes, it's satire but there's elements of truth in it which makes it funny.
I no longer fly Spirit..My last 3 flights on the airline resulted in 2 cancellations and one 4 hour delay.. Cancellations were do to "NO CREW"
Seriously!!! A scheduled flight without crew members!!!
The delay was due to missing Co-Pilot.. 4 hours later they drummed a right seater by calling him in on his day off..
For me... Ill pay the extra 60-70 dollars and and fly a reputable air carrier!!!
