747s and DC-10s fighting fires

Maybe it was Tanker 911 rather than Tanker 910 that was on the news. I'm not sure I can tell them apart. Both are DC-10s from Victorville, I think.

I'm pretty sure it was orange and white. Both Tanker 910 and Tanker 911 are orange and white, I think.

What's been puzzling to me, I saw the reports and even some TV articles about the Evergreen 747 a couple of years ago, and it's development, yet every subsequent TV show, History channel or whatever, shows the DC10 and says nothing about the 747. This article says it's been in service a couple of years now and they are both based at Victorville. Are the History channel shows that dated or are they just doing a better PR job on the 10?

Do you know of any besides the 747 and DC-10 that are JET aircraft?

Tanker 10 was fighting the Wallow Fire in SE AZ. Now moved onto Texas. Evergreen 747 is parked @ Marana. Seperate contracting companies.

I don't know about tanker 910 but tanker 911 was the one in AZ for the wallow fire.
