Article: "The 787-10 could enter service by 2016, Jim Albaugh, Boeing’s commercial airplanes chief, said yesterday ahead of the Paris Air Show. That would provide competition for Airbus’s A350-900 and steal a march on the larger A350-1000, which won’t be ready until 2017, according to a schedule announced June 18."

The Dreamliner is still an unfilfilled dream, still an egg in Boeing's face for none is in service yet. Lots of inevitable debugging in the first couple of years or more and nobody knows how the exotic plastic material is going to hold. With this scenario how in hell's name Boeing is already (day)dreaming about a larger 787 to compete against the Airbus 350-1000.
