Boeing Considers larger B787 to take on A350
Boeing is leaning toward a bigger version of the 787 Dreamliner as the US company seeks to out-maneuver Airbus in the widebody jetliner market it reckons will be worth almost $US2 trillion over the next 20 years. The Dreamliner is still an unfilfilled dream, still an egg in Boeing's face for none is in service yet. Lots of inevitable debugging in the first couple of years or more and nobody knows how the exotic plastic material is going to hold. With this scenario how in hell's name Boeing is already (day)dreaming about a larger 787 to compete against the Airbus 350-1000.
Is that factoring in a three-year delay? ;)
