Fuel Truck Crashes Into Plane at LAX; Driver Extricated, Hospitalized
One person was rescued by firefighters after a fuel truck crashed into an airplane at LAX’s Terminal 4 late Monday afternoon. The driver of the truck was trapped and required extrication, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said in an emailed alert. Firefighters were called to Los Angeles International Airport at 4:18 p.m. The driver’s right leg was pinned under the steering wheel and fire crews had to use the “jaws of life” to free him, authorities said. Ossifer, those airliners are really hard to see. Somebody should do something about them things sitting all over the airport.
"just give me a couple minutes to get the engine door closed and should be good to go. Can somebody hand me that hammer...?"
Gotta love how the media makes it sound like it was a fuel tanker, loaded with fuel, instead of a fuel service truck that does not carry aircraft fuel.
Not exactly a fuel truck now, is it?
I think it's called a parking brake or just park.
