It seems Spirit Airlines could be repairing its reputation with customers, according to a recent report from the U.S. Department of Transportation that says the Miramar-based budget airliner (NYSE: SAVE) has nearly halved its consumer complaints year-over-year. In the first quarter of 2018, Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) had the highest rate of customer complaints of all the major airlines: 2.95 out of every 100,000 emplanements, or boardings.
