The airspace was monitored which is how they knew the helicopter was violating the zone. They don’t scramble a fighter to clear space for everything when radar will suffice.

What was your service? You don’t get to question the patriotism of someone who served for their reason of leaving unless you have been there. Before you ask I wasn’t a pilot. Served 8 years on fast attack submarines.

Then you need to do more research. An outdated plant using fossil fuels is still significantly more efficient than an internal combustion engine or gas turbine on a jet. Economy of scale alone will reduce the emissions even when accounting for losses in storage and transmission.

How exactly does a virus incubate? It requires living, functioning, relocating cells in order to multiply. Last time I checked any human cells caught in the mask won’t be living or replicating anymore as they don’t have access to proteins and enzymes required. Bacteria could incubate but viruses would not.

The ASRS system had never been totally hidden from public. Anyone can access and search it to promote learning. The entries are anonymous. I think most people would rather know that the pilots recognize their errors in order to correct them rather then ignoring them to save face. We (the public) depend on the two pilots backing each other up and using checklists

That subsidy only pays the airline when someone is actually in the seat. So when someone uses the lower price to get a cheaper overall ticket then doesn’t fly the last leg the airline loses. They could have sold that seat to someone else and they would have gotten a better fare overall for the ticket. The system is pretty straight forward. You buy a ticket for the travel you want. If you don’t like the price don’t buy the seat. If you look overall, despite everyone’s complaints about ticket prices, it is cheaper to travel now then before deregulation when considering inflation.

Flew the Newark to Singapore route in 2010 I think when it was all business class. Right after the 09 market crash. I think there were more flight attendants then passengers on that flight. Long time on a plane but better then having to stop partway and change planes. Incidentally we had two go around sin Singapore due to weather. Makes you start to wonder how much due can this thing carry. I think it ended at around 19.5 hrs when we finally landed.

Except he was on VFR and the helicopter he was flying was not properly equipped or certified for IFR flight.
