Sure they can. They simply scrap the plane. The original 737 is fine, but they decided to add oversized engines to this heap, and make other changes that drastically changed its aerodynamic stability, and then they added software that flies it into the ground. Why'd they do all this? Money, of course. Same reason they're still trying to put lipstick on this pig and make it fly: money.
Outsourcing and paying the software guys 9 bucks an hour, LOL. I was at Target the other day, and saw a help wanted sign...starting pay was $13/hr. People at Target are being paid more than the ones Boeing trusted to code flight control software. Unbelievable.
On top of that, I thought I read that the aerodynamic forces could be too great to overcome by human strength. So what does one do? Turn the electric trim back on, which reactivates MCAS. Yikes =(
The more I hear, the more I think people should be going to jail over this. At the very least, the CEO and other key players should be fired. It's sad to see an American giant like Boeing disgraced like this.
