imagine being in an airliner, any airliner ( even the luxury suite in Emerates Airlines) for 20 hours. Now having arrived in London or Sydney depending, how chipper will you feel, how ready for a business meeting, or a tennis match, or a chess match would you or anyone be? Long, very long distance travel, tempered by at least one stop, makes for a acclimation process that makes for a comfortable, effective performance no matter what the task. Whats the hurry? Whats the point?

i love it when somebody who can not even spell "law school" tries to frame a legal arguement, but this one is truly ignorant. Yes, members of a mob performing trespass, criminal assault, property damage of a federal building, armed in the District of Columbia where that is frowned upon, those folks are not part of a tour of the halls of congress on a guided tour. Each has committed one or more breaking of federal laws, and how they got there and how they go back to their homes has nothing to do with charging any airline, bus line or train service. A few of these folks commited murder as well

the passenger was world-class dummy to accede to the demand to give over his money bags. Don't know how he proved the money was in those bags, but bully for him...

the captain rules when in command, and a bit of tough command/love is acceptable. The threat to drop someone off in Kansas ought to quiet down nearly every hulligan. Kansas: it is every bit as bad as you have heard........

no arguements, no worms in any can, can occur if no-fly lists are shared and acted upon. The federal government accumulates the list. Is there an obligation for an airline to forward to the feds each and every miscreant any airline cites as disruptive, a non-flier on a particular airline? To inject some fairnesss into this, maybe the list ought to have a sunset provision connected to a hearing.

both cnn and fixed, er fox news can be grating on my nerves, their insistence that "breaking news" is worthy of my attention an any time. We can get information updates, not properly called news, from our phones at our own timing. Need a good laugh? step to the side of the waiting room and observe the craning of the necks as passengers stare at the telly, in obedient unison. Bloomberg anything is preferable to fox or cnn or msnbc.

hate to see the end of the production line, as boeing has in the past prematurely cut production on other viable airliners: to wit, the 757. A strong economic case exists for 777 freighters- that i do not deny, But, i wonder what the actual demand for more than these last 4 747-8F's would be in the next uptick in world economy. There are many 747-400's is dry storage around the world that could be condidates for cargo conversion, and perhaps that helped nudge boeing into their position of terminating this wonderous, beauteous, elegant queen of all the skies....Never had a bad flight on any 747....

undenialbly, this conversion outperforms its boeing counterpart in every measure. Wonder if Airbus had something like this in mind when designing the A321. If so, congrats to them...

astonsihingly ignorant reply to the theme of this squawk. I bet your airplane, assuming you are able to fly one, cannot fly straight and level, somehow it tilts to the right, flies in right-hand 360. never able to stay on course.
