Beautiful. The mountains around CYVR are only 1000-2000m (3000-6000 ft.), but rising from sea level, they look HUGE.

I took a series of moon-shots last month and a week later went to the airport to photograph 11 helicopters there in connection with disaster relief only to find later that evening when I uploaded them that I had forgotten to reset all my settings, with disastrous results, but have to say that even they were better than this obvious i-phone shot at distance and cropped up. Have to say I consider this to be probably the worse photo I have ever seen on here and I have been following them daily for many years. I voted it a 1 star as there was no provision for a zero that I could see.

I decided to download this image and work with it a little just for the heck of it. I adjusted the color balance, contrast, clarity, sharpness, and saturation, and it looked a little better. It still looked like one I would have discarded myself though. I agree with Elliot Williams too, how in the world did this get picked? Not to be arrogant, but I have uploaded some I think are pretty good and that have never been picked. Go figure.

Great winter shot, but CAM9 is the float plane base at Vancouver Airport and is located on the river. Not faulting the photographer, but the correct code for this airport is YVR or CYVR - Vancouver International Airport.
