Northrop T-38 Talon (N966NA)
The same jet Neil Armstrong flew to Cape Canaveral before the Apollo 11 launch, lines up on final to Runway 17R at Houston Spaceport on 11 February 2022

That back story took some doing to figure. However that Neil Armstrong flew this to the "Cape" in 69" is awesome!
Its now been modified so many times he wouldn't recognize it anymore.
LTJG Armstrong had time in over 200 aircraft. I think he could recognize a T-38 regardless of its modifications.
Nice photo and accompanying info. That's the way I usually see aircraft overflying my house. So, Houston now has a Spaceport? Co-located with or on Ellington AFB/AFNG. I did not know that.
Don't believe I've ever seen this view of a T-38 before! Beautifully done!
Insane view... Wonderful aircraft!
Spent a lot of time upside down in the cockpit of T-38s, working on the seats and canopies.
@Arnold Hauswald Yeah, the crew office at JSC have always flown out of the NASA hangar at Ellington. I am one of the NASA flight controllers and part of all of our training is to get familiar with the facilities. Ellington was always fun to go to especially if you are an av-geek. Our bootcamp class in 2012 got our class photo in front of one of these birds.
Really nice to see a relatively spotless view of the normally "dirty side down" part and three cheers for J85s, CJ610s when you absolutely, positively must turn kerosene into speed and noise!
