Boeing 747-400 (N194UA) - Flashback 2008 ~~br /This 13 year old click shows UA's N194UA at SFO. At the time I captured this snap of N194UA on SFO's 28R, I had no way of knowing that several years later I would capture it again when it visited RNO. And that by the time it visited RNO, it would have been completely repainted into a "United Charter" livery scheme.

In 2013, when N194UA arrived in Reno, it had had a change of clothing and looked much better in its new garb. My other photo here in FA's gallery shows how it looked then.

Alien ... Any chance you and I could meet up this summer or fall at SFO? Just for a day; a long day? Maybe we could both drive to SMF, meet there, snap a few shots, then drive together to SFO for a few hours, then back to SMF and then on to home separately? Or, if you want to try a different idea, meet at SMF for a couple of early AM pics, then on to SJC for some late AM shots, over to SFO for the afternoon, and then back to SMF. It'd be a turrible loooooong day but I've done it before and am willing to try it again. Whadaya say?

Nice shot, you caught the bay on very clear day! Nice backdrop of Alameda and Oakland in the distance. I'm a native of Berkeley and the East Bay from 0 to 19, left in 1969 and have never been back.

Great plane! My dad used to work for United @ SFO, I remember when they went to this paint scheme too...
