Great photo of a great airplane!
Super Shot! Thank You!
Is this the only airworthy DH Mosquito in existence today?
The DeHavilland Mosquito is one of WWII's greatest aircraft (IMHO) and my number one favourite aircraft of all time! The Spitfire is my number two favourite.
WOW GREAT PLANE , GREAT SHOT
Alan Hume - There are 3 others currently - 1 in Sacramento CA, 1 in Everett, WA, and 1 in Vancouver, BC.
There are 3 others being restored to airworthy condition - 2 in NZ and 1 in UK. Fingers crossed....

The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor museum at Payne Field in Everett WA restored a Mosquito and I watched it fly at their open house several years ago. Theirs is painted in night camo with a black underside. Twice the Merlins makes twice the music.
Mike....
You got a truly remarkable pic / neat to see a Mosquito depart on turf.

Nice pic! Reading about the design and manufacture of this marvelous a/c shows it's one of the 'greats' of WWII.
Kermit Weeks said he was going to get his Mosquito flying again. Currently at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh.
