Lion Air says goodbye to its only Boeing 747

Lion Air said goodbye to its only Boeing 747-400 this weekend with a special ceremony attended by the employees. The airline was one of the few low-cost operators that still flew the Jumbo jet. Lion Air used its Boeing 747 (PK-LHG) until the end of last year on domestic flights and pilgrim flights to Saudi Arabia. Boeing delivered the Jumbo Jet to Singapore Airlines in 1989.
