Isn't that the the old CAF 's JU52. "Iron Annie". If so I have MANY personal experiences with her.

When I was living in Chicago ,part of the great lakes wing,also personal friends with Dave&Ragina (who was basically the care takers of old iron Annie) also flew with it in a Airshow. This plane holds a special place in my heart. Besides my uncle was a flight instructor with the Luftwaffe .

Airport in Ecuador sometime in the mid-50s right after she had completed its ferry flight from Europe and still wore a Scandinavian Air System livery. She was purchased by an American writer in the 60s or so who restored it to perfection (I forgot his name) and she was then acquired by Lufthansa.

When I was stationed at Zaragoza AB Spain in the mid 60s the Spanish Air Force was still operation JU 52s left over from a gift from Hitler during WW II. It was really something to see them in service.
