Delta Is Being Accused of Sneakily Tricking People Into Booking Much Worse Seats Than They Think

提交时间:

Absurdly Driven looks at the world of business with a skeptical eye and a firmly rooted tongue in cheek. When I book flights, I try to be patient. Perhaps like many people, I go to Kayak or Google Flights, and hope to find everything that's available. Then, I might wait a few days to see if prices go up or down, depending on the urgency of my booking. (www.inc.com) 更多...

the best way to be sure you are honestly getting the correct price whether its using and buying points for the frequent flyer,or getting the elusive first class seat,is to go directly to the airlines own webside, whether its aa or ual or dl or whomever..i have done comparison "shopping" on the various travel websites from hotwire to priceline, and found they do not give a lower price than the airlines own sites, and usually are all the same, even in their chart/graph comparisons of airlines..

Hyperbolic and misleading article on "those evil airlines" that boils down to "Google didn't do all my thinking for me, so this is a scam." Yawn.

Airlines are extremely shady. Google Flights is great for those of us who understand what we're looking for. US Airlines will never truly be bound to regulations for force public decency because they pray on the people who don't educate themselves.

On top of all this, it is a shame that our current government is anti Joe Consumer and is doing away with as many protections as possible. There is virtually no one to report this scam to.

Probably mostly complaints by fat fools who wanted the lowest price on the best plane at the perfect time. I feel no pity for them, and consider them what they really are...cattle.

Kayak was a great site. Then they were bought by Priceline. Priceline is now Booking Holdings and makes 93% of their money from commissions. They have a long list of booking services, and instead of a good price, you are offered the highest commission. Forget ultra cheap seats and non-commissionable fares. They are not interested.

The airlines should be forced to indicate the fare designator and show it on a seat map with prices for each seat for sale.

every week there's an article about someone getting screwed on travel...airlines/hotel... it seems it's always through one of these sites.. maybe I pay a little more but I always book through the official airline or hotel site...seems better service, especially if something goes upside down... most of the time the rates aren't much different and I get my points without hassle

Same way with third party hotel sites.
