I agree with all the others, great shot! One question, how come the rear bird is blurred but not the one in the front? Would he be moving faster than the front one? Would a faster camera speed have frozen both of them?

Couple quick answers to questions...shutter speed was 1/1600. The reason the near bird is clear and the far one is blurred is because I had to pick one to pan along with at high speed. So I was tracking the near bird with my camera as it crossed with the other. I might have been able freeze both with a shutter speed of 1/4000 or 1/8000, but I actually like the sense of speed that the motion blur provides.
