China Agrees to Buy 290 Airbus A320 Planes, 10 A350s

We all know what they were thinking when they "reintroduced" and better 737 Max 8.. The thinking was the losing of market share to AB, plain and simpple.
I wonder if Rolls Royce will power any of the aircraft?
It is interesting to note that part of the deal is for the Airbus A319, which has not seen many order until now. Will CFM or IAE be powering the CEO aircraft and will it be P&W or CFM LEAPs on the NEO aircraft
I’m surprised they didn’t chose the A220 over the A319.
Maybe because they can assemble the A319 in China, but not the A220?
